What we do not know
Chelan County Sheriff
- The executed Flock agreement and camera-locations schedule, and why twelve of the announced sixty are running — a records question, not an inference.
- The registration due at the Attorney General by 30 September 2026.
- The use policy the statute requires published by December 2027.
What license plate readers are
An automated license plate reader photographs every passing vehicle and records the plate, the time and the place. It does not watch suspects. It logs everyone, and the record is usually kept on a vendor’s servers.
